Many Faces of Golden Gate Park

It never ceases to amaze me how there are parts of San Francisco that no matter how long you have lived here, you stumble upon something new. Golden Gate Park is a perfect example. I entered a random road into the park and parked the car. We walked around and found the AIDS Memorial Grove which was a circular alcove paved in limestone and etched with several hundred names.

The rocks were part of a serenity garden at the entrance to the grove and the alcove is shaded by giant trees on all sides. A touching tribute to all the people the disease has affected.

Congratulations Mark and Lian

My friends Mark and Lian got married this weekend. It was a wonderful ceremony at St Philip's Church in Dublin followed by a recpetion at Willow Tree complete with a dragon dance and of course a full banquet. Congratulations to the Newlyweds and may your lives together be filled with prosperity and joy.
