Mission Santa Cruz

The original Mission Santa Cruz was destroyed by a series of earthquakes in the 1800s. In its place right now is the Church of the Holy Cross, which was built later. Anyway, the picture to the right was orginally a wider shot of the whole church. At first it was one of the dozen or so unremarkable pictures I shot that weekend. But then I noticed the little girl with her hands raised. I cropped the picture and it became much more interesting. To see the original as well as some other pics click here
